FiVal keeps uploads separate, checks for problems, and passes along approved content when it is ready.
One shared approach to checking files
FiVal is a reusable internal service (an API) for Cn2data applications. It gives different products a consistent way to handle uploaded documents, with checks suited to each application's needs.
For example, a career advisor app can use FiVal to read the text from an uploaded résumé.
How it works

Keep uploads separate
FiVal holds new files in a private waiting area while checks are carried out.

Check for problems
FiVal checks the file's type and size, looks for damaged or unsupported content, and scans for malware.

Prepare approved content
FiVal extracts usable text from supported documents and releases content only after all required checks pass.
